Hi all,

I'm very pleased with my Metal, but there's one small issue: The screen won't turn off when i make phonecalls. This causes the settings menu comes up while I touch the screen with my ear. Proximity sensor is on.
What to do?

Kind regards,
Marcel
The Netherlands

My phone works well. When making calls, the screen turns off when approaching the ear. Receiving calls also turns off the screen without any problem.

Maybe it's a problem with your fone proximity sensor. You can try to run the "Psensor Calibration" in the "Display" menu and see if it works.

Thx.
Maybe this sensor is not working on my phone, because calibration fails.
Its says it cannot find any objects (in step 2 of calibration)
Where exactly is the sensor located?

Hi. The sensor is located on top of the phone near the ear sound column.

If its says it cannot find any objects, It is probably defective.

As the Alexandr82 suggested, you can also try install "box sensor" and test moving your hand forward and backward in front of the sensor. The sensor range is 1 cm.

Go Play Store and try "Call Screen Lock" from Duckbone. Users reviews are good.

SOLVED
Sensor Box couldn't help but, I found the App Proximity Sensor Reset/Repair.
That did the trick.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiledirection.proximitysensorreset&hl=nl

Thanks to you all for thinking with me!
